Let me start off by saying I’m not the biggest fan of Hybrids. The reason being is I always tend to hit them left! The name “Baffler” comes from a club Cobra produced in the 70’s and has been re-introduced numerous times. This time I think Cobra nailed it. The dual rail system (rails on the bottom of the club) is beneficial for hitting out of deeper rough like most hybrids, however, these rails also aid in digging into the turf too much. With 3 different heads that cover 3 degrees of loft adjustability, respectively. The one other intriguing piece of tech that Cobra has used is a changeable weight on the sole towards the back of the head. I like this because it helps with finding your ideal ball flight as you can get lighter or heavier weights.
When I was testing this club out, I used the 3-4 head with the Fuji Pro shaft (standard option). The feel was amazing as it almost felt like I was hitting a metal wood. It was very forgiving and easy to hit consistently. As I mentioned before I do still hit this hybrid left but it was super consistent as my dispersion was amazing just left of target! Overall, this is easily the best hybrid I have hit regarding consistency and feel.
• Baffler rails are TERRIFIC!
• Excellent feel
• Solid distance
• Plenty of loft adjustments
• Super consistent
• Great stock shaft options
• Still hit it left (lead tape on the toe can fix this)
• With stock weight it goes very high
