Mat’s enthusiasm for the game comes from years of amateur, collegiate, and professional experience. During his collegiate years, he had four wins and ten top-ten finishes. A majority of these achievements were earned at Guilford College in North Carolina, where Mat had been granted a scholarship to play on the golf team. Shortly after graduating, he turned his course knowledge and experience towards teaching others how to score, compete, and most importantly, have fun! His theory is not only teaching basic fundamentals, but helping you find your best swing. After all, everyone is different and the golf swing varies with each individual. Mat has gained experience instructing golfers of all ages and skill levels because of his patience and enthusiasm for the game. He came to us after years of work at courses such as: Mill Creek Country Club, Echo Falls Golf Club, Harbour Pointe Golf Club, and most recently Bear Creek Country Club.
Off the course, he is an avid football fan…both kinds of football! His favorite teams are the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders and Manchester City Football Club.
